Welcome to the homepage of the Orlando Watercraft Riders, the ONLY official American Watercraft Association (AWA) chartered club in Central Florida.  Our club was formed in October 2005 and has grown each year.  We pride ourselves on helping each other when anything goes wrong, helping others, and just having fun the way a club should.

We are a group of families and individuals who enjoy riding watercrafts in the greater Orlando area.  We ride on the local lakes and rivers, as well as taking long rides on the intercoastal from Daytona Beach to St Augustine and back, as well as ocean rides such as Sebastian Inlet to Ft Pierce and back.  We will also be organizing rides to such places as the Florida Keys.

Our members like to have fun, but also realize this is a sport where people can be hurt, through negligence or carelessness.  We promote safe riding and work to keep the public image of watercraft positive.   As an American Watercraft Association charter club, we work with other clubs promoting our sport.  We have recently adopted all of the St. John's river as it passes through Seminole County, as well as the northernmost five miles of the Wekiva river.  We will do our part to keep the environment clean that we so enjoy playing in.  In addition, we are beginning to coordinate some work Charities who help terminally ill children and teenagers wishing get out of drug addictions.  Look for more information on these volunteer activities in the coming weeks.

Everyone is welcome to join our group, all we ask is that you are a considerate rider while on the water and participate in group rides to build our club up.  Please fill out the registration form by selecting the Membership App link at the top of the page if you wish to join us, that's all it takes!  Also be sure to join our message board since that is where all of our rides are discussed.  We have rides almost every weekend!!!

Membership in the AWA is encouraged due to the benefits the organization provides all watercraft riders.  Click the link at the bottom of this page to check out information on the AWA and what they do for our sport.

The 2008 ride season has already started, this is Florida after all!!!  We ride year round as you will see from the number of rides we have already had this calendar year!!!
